All is Not Quiet on the (Arch) Coal Front

As I said, I'm bullish on ACI. Watching trench warfare right now as it holds the line at $4.88. Also watching $4.93 and, if it can gain ground on a $5 handle, looking for it to push through the highs of the day with gusto.

Go Big or Go Home

Infused capital and built large bullish position in ACI today. Based on 'original formula' technical analysis that has been so good to me in past. One billion market cap representing approximately 1/6 of the US coal market. Too cheap to be ignored by value investors for much longer.

Thanks for Nothing

Sold virtually worthless UNP calls at market. In hindsight, should've bought the TGT $70 calls a few days ago. Live and learn. Back on the saddle.

Blue & Lonesome... and I'm Not Talking About Bluegrass

UNP made some gains today to put my meager position up 60% or so. At that moment, I reminded myself I am a middle-man. The next moment I rechecked my trusty charts and got greedy. Naturally, all of the gains were sharply given back - and then some, seeing as the calls expire tomorrow - with the broader market sell-off. Here's to some healthy numbers pre-market tomorrow. Just one long (open) candle is all I ask. Technicals suggest it's possile. Here's to fudging the numbers!
